Breeding Care
The health and well being of our Danes is our top priority. Our puppies are placed in approved homes only. We require buyers to complete an application form and once approved, sign a breeders contract. We as breeders always educate on how to properly care for the puppy and ensure the new family is fully aware of what Great Dane ownership entails.

As breeders, we are always willing to answer questions at the time of sale and throughout the lifetime of the dog. Karsten Danes will also take any of our Danes back, during the lifetime of that dog, if the buyer cannot keep it.

We confirm our litters using a professional sonar service, six weeks after a confirmed covering. This allows us to see the health of the puppies and dam, litter size and confirm our expected due date. It is so exciting seeing the puppies and hearing their heartbeats.

We announce litter arrivals on our Facebook page and website. We will also contact everyone on our Karsten Dane waiting list. Once the buyer decides on a puppy, a non-refundable deposit is required and remaining balance to be paid upon collection or travel.

Karsten Danes believes in quality over quantity, we have approximately 2-3 litters each year. This allows us to focus on the health and temperament of our Danes and puppies, and allows us to ensure our puppies go to the best possible homes.
Karsten Danes is proud to breed Danes with exceptional temperaments. We raise our puppies indoors in a warm and loving environment. During their first eight weeks, our puppies are exposed to various types of stimuli (both indoors and outdoors) and socialization. This creates confident puppies that will easily adapt to their new forever family and home.
